PYRACANTHA LEAF
Graceful , feather like plight assured
As gravitational forces, like rumbunctious siblings bully
Towards velvety textures of lush green grass
A cushion for the fall, per chance
Separated from the bush of spite
Oh Pyracantha leaf, like the mighty, you have fallen
And yet within the sadness of such sweet demise
There is beauty in your fading hue
Outnumbered, hunted, and singled out
By probing insects and rays of sun
You wither slowly, proud leaf of family Rosaceae
Your death complete, you thrive no more
With passing time you age and crumple
The darkened tones of decay prevail
Unmercilessly trapped within metallic spines
Of cold, unyielding garden rakes
Your final glimpse of treasured skyline
You rise and fall as a floating Dandylion wheel
From freedom to the sweaty confines
Of refuse sack, black plastic hell
You are but a memory, a vision once held
Oh sweet relative of the Cottoneaster
Through the rains and rays of a season mixed
But your beauty , in these grateful eyes, shall linger

What great colors with the red leaf against the grass. I really like the processing that was done on this shot.
FLOOG: Hello Andy, and many thanks for taking the time to visit and comment. The tweaking side of things is all very new to me, but I'm having such fun playing
Great colors here. Love the liquidy feel to this.
FLOOG: Thanks very much, Helen
awesome colors...I am so not looking forward to fall. That means winter is around the corner.
Almost liquid-like..as if the image was captured thru wavey glass. Lovely.
It feels like entering a vortex or something. A little bit sci-fi. Great processing job.
Uurgh!...My monitor is melting...
[I like it]
ack! at first i thought it was some sort of symbiote..
Jellied leaf. I think bare feet would be a detriment to good mental health.
FLOOG: Ouch! ha ha
Brilliant colors and always such a good read
FLOOG: Thank you so much, Sherri. You are very kind
quelles couleurs splendides!
FLOOG: Salut là et beaucoup de merci, objectif-p
wow ! fantastic effects !
We have not had a summer yet and now heading for winter already
Love the PP you really are making a good job of these Paul
Now look here Floogy baby, this has got to stop. I am being heavily out twiddled (I even started putting twiddles on another site but not many people look at them.) Then there's the poetry. What is going on? You are being far to imaginative.
hi just caught up with your latest twiddles, that liquid effect works well, it seems better on the out of focus parts on this one.
I am getting used to your twiddling technique, Paul.
FLOOG: I'm not! ha ha
You seem to have put Bill's nose out of joint
Ingrid
FLOOG: Hi Ingrid, many thanks for your thoughts, I always like hearing how images work or don't
Great colors here and fantastic effect.
There's electricity in the air here! And the red leaf almost seems liquid. Cool image!
FLOOG: Thank you very much, I think the tweaking somehow brought the leaf to life and made it more interesting than the original
Great bit of pping Paul ,keep on twiddlng.
FLOOG: You must take some of the blame for this, Michael ha ha
I so love the way you process your images, along with several other fine people here, that it went to my head and lead me astray!! Mediocre at best, but I'm having such fun playing with my photographs and seeing what comes out the other side of my ancient box of tricks...
great processing
Paul have you got the twiddle bug good colours
FLOOG: Ha ha... yep, sure have. It's the voices in my head, they make me press those big buttons
beautiful!
FLOOG: Hi tinuke, and many thanks. I'm glad that you like it
This is one heck of a plug-in or technique you have come up with Paul. Great photo once again.
FLOOG: I don't like to use the term 'Technique' in this instance, Brian, because it makes it sound as though I know what I am doing! ha ha
It's trial and error and a mix of three different very basic systems that I use. Basic image sharpening, sometimes a tinting programme to remove colour elements that I feel detract from, or at least do not enhance my image, and then one of many possible functions within my ancient old 2001 Paint Shop Pro 7 software which I recently half inched from my father! It's great fun, but nine times out of ten results in something that really doesn't work. I strive for that rare tenth one that I like
There certainly is the feel of something "electric" here, Paul! Maybe it's coming back to life??
FLOOG: Reanimation as it were, Ginnie!! Today the Pyracantha leaf, tomorrow....who knows.. ha ha
Very cool image. Strong colors. Near processing.
FLOOG: Hi P.J, and many thanks
Sorry Paul, this one has gone a tad too far. It's just too indistinct and too harsh. Well, that's my feeling and I know I'm out of step with your other commentors.
FLOOG: Good evening Sheila, no problem, personal opinion is what makes this wonderful world of ours so interesting and diverse
Oh wow wow wow, I'm blown away. This is magnificent!
FLOOG: Hey, thank you Robin. I'm glad that you like it
"There is beauty in your fading hue" lovely words Paul. Well done.
Molten leaves eh? Looks very cool!
FLOOG: Good evening Radel, and many thanks.
See what you have done? Now I want to rescue all the fallen leaves! :-(
FLOOG: That was my cunning plan to make you tidy the garden up, Ginge
I have not the foggiest how you achieved this but it cetainly is a nice effect.
FLOOG: Neither have I, Padraig ha ha
